I am Home, You are Home
Over the years, I realized that in most places I've lived, which I called 'home,' I often felt like a guest. It wasn't the physical space or the belongings that made a place special for me; it was the people I shared it with that turned it into a home, sometimes distancing it from the feeling of home. After moving to the Netherlands and leaving behind the home we had built and accumulated memories in for years, I understood this even better. Before moving into our own house, we changed a total of 3 residences. The countries, cities, and neighborhoods we lived in changed, but we remained the same. This project revolves around seeing individuals as the essence of a place rather than the physical location. Those people who, the moment they appear by your side, make you feel like you're in your own home, or in their absence, turn the house into an empty box. Some illuminate your path like a lighthouse, some are always by your side even with a broken wing, and others manage to fit their enormous hearts into tiny spaces.
